The Scarecrow wanted some brains, but on the way to the Emerald City, he thought out of a way to cross the river. The Cowardly Lion wanted to be brave, but when they met the river, he carried other friends to jump across it. And the Tin Man wanted a heart, he said he couldn’t love, but he didn’t want to hurt any animal. In fact, they all have the things they want: the Scarecrow is clever, the Cowardly Lion is brave and the Tin Man is kind-hearted. This book tells us a story of how a little girl Dorothy goes back to her hometown when she is in another strange city. Dorothy is a little girl who lived with her aunt and uncle in Kansas. The weather there is very bad, sometimes there was a cyclone.
When a cyclone came, people stayed under their houses. But one day a cyclone blows Dorothy’s house, with Dorothy and her dog Toto in it, to a country called Oz. In that city there are four witches and a very famous wizard—the Wizard of Oz. And Dorothy’s house just fell on the bad Witch of the East and killed her, so the people there were very happy. Dorothy took the witch’s red shoes and wore them. She wanted to go home to Kansas but she doesn’t know how to get there. So the Witch of North told her to go to the Emerald City to find the Wizard of Oz to help her. Then Dorothy met the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, but they need help too. The Scarecrow wanted some brains, the Tin Man wanted a heard, and the Cowardly Lion wanted to be brave.
So they all take the yellow brick road to the Emerald City. On the way to the Emerald City they met some difficulties, but they solved them successfully. After they met the Wizard of Oz, the wizard gave them another challenge—to kill the bad Witch of the West and they accept. During the way to the Witch of the West’s house, they were caught by the witch and Dorothy was requested to work for her. One day, when the witch tried to catch Dorothy’s red shoes, Dorothy threw some water on the witch by accident and the Witch of the West disappeared. Only water can kill her. So Dorothy went back to the Emerald City with her friends but they found the Wizard of Oz is not a real wizard, he is also a man came from Kansas, and he is just a conjurer. He wanted to go back to Kansas too.
So he made a big balloon and prepared to go. But when the balloon is going to raise, Dorothy’s dog Toto jumped away to run after a cat, so Dorothy had to get Toto back and they were left in Oz. Then Dorothy and Toto went and find the Witch of the South and the witch told them they can just use the red shoes on Dorothy’s feet, they’re a pair of magic shoes, they could take anybody go back to their home as soon as she said‘East, west—home is the best!’After Dorothy said goodbye to her friends, she went back to her new home with her dog. It’s really a wonderful risk.
Yes, no matter where we are, home is always the best place for us to rest or study. There are our parents here; there are also our favorite things here. At home, we feel safe, we feel comfortable, and we can relax ourselves. From this story, we can see Dorothy is a brave and kind-hearted girl. She killed the two bad witches in Oz; she helped the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion to go to the Emerald City to find the Wizard and get what they want. She solved problems when they met difficulties. It’s really not easy for such a little girl. We also learn that teamwork is important for us. When we are in trouble, we can ask our friends for help, and also, when our friends need help, we should go and help them. Just remember, more people, more power. It’s always better has more people to do a thing.
Teamwork is really necessary in our lives. And we can see the Scarecrow is absolutely cleaver, he understands things, he can think, he learn quickly, and he suggested Dorothy to cut down a tree to cross the river. The tin man has a kind heart, he laughs, he cries, he loves, he feels sorry for people. The Cowardly Lion is really brave, he did a lot of brave things, he carried the friends to go across the river, and he wanted to find some food for his friends and so on. We should learn from them too. When we are in trouble, we should calm down, watch the things around carefully, and try to think out of a way to solve it, just like the Scarecrow. We also should be brave as we are in danger, we can’t be afraid, we should face the difficulty and try to go through it, just like the Cowardly Lion.
And we should learn to love people, to feel sorry for people, to make more friends, to get on well with everyone around us, just like the Tin Man. My Impressions after Reading" The Million Pound Note”.
This time I want to talk about a very famous short story written by Mark Twain——“The Million Pound Note”. Referring to Mark Twain, you must feel familiar, because we must have read his works before. I still remember the article “ The Bite Events on the Train” in our textbook when I’m in the middle school. What touched me most at that time were his ironic words. Yes, he is a great humorist, novelist, writer and orator in America in nineteenth century. During his 40 years’ writing career, he created dozens of short or long stories, among which “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” is of the most popularity, which was praised by Hemingway as “the first real American literature”. But today I am introducing his another work——The Million Pound Note.
This story tells about a poor but honest American Adam Henry. When he was wandering in the street of London, he was given by two billionaires a letter, in which he surprisedly found a ￡1,000,000 pound bank-note. Later he got to know that the two billionaires who were brothers had made a bet about the results after he got a one million-pound note at once. One of them thought the note wound count for nothing to the poor man because he could not prove that the money was his own while the other considered just as the opposite. Dramatically, the plot went just out of my expectation. Herry went to a restaurant to have dinner first. The manager was mean to him at the beginning but his attitude changed quickly when Herry took out the note and asked for change. Faced with a millionaire, the manager apologized again and again and obsequiously told Herry that he didn’t need to pay for the bill right now. So Herry managed to have a free dinner.
Then similarly, Herry went to a clothing shop and got a suit of clothes costing him nothing. Like the plot above, people are curious of such a rich man and tried every means to cozy up to him, from free food， free clothes to free accommodation. At the same time, his social status was becoming higher and higher and finally higher than most dukes. Apart from that, he later got a beautiful wife and 200,000 pounds of bank interest. I can imagine a bright future was waiting for him. The writing style of this story is so humorous. Mark Twain used hyperbole describing how our hero defeated snobbishness repeatedly. What I appreciate most is the detailed description of different people’s ridiculous actions before one million pounds, vivid, funny, ironic and humorous, which forms a Caricature. In terms of the theme, it is apparent that the author wanted to denounce the overflowing mammonism in the society. Even now it gives us an impressive lesson. Yes, I cannot deny the importance of money to a person who wants to survive. We won’t live without money, with which we get food, clothes, house and many other Necessities.
But we must know that there are many things which can’t be bought with money such as love or friendship. So in my opinion, money may be important to us, but not the most important. We need to build up the correct sense of money. Another point I want to emphasize is honesty. From the plot, we can see that there were so many people the brothers could choose, so why just Herry? I think it was because he was honest. When he got the note, what he did wasn’t use it right now but return it to the brothers. Without a kind and honest heart, Herry couldn’t have been such a successful man.
There are various of tempertation alluring us in our life, Only by keeping honesty and consciousness inside can we manage to resist them. To sum up, this story is a really good work of Mark Twain. The lesson I’ve learnt from it makes me want to be an honest man sincerely and lets me not to worship money too much. I begin to regret not reading it earlier.

First,I think that virgin and unconscious love which obey the humanity is fake.Second,It is ugly and indifferent that show no care about other’s sex.Third,I insist that only warm heart can bring sex and true love.After I read this book,some ideas about sex have changed in my mind.I think that humanity is the ceremony of proclaiming somebody a Buddhist.I still remember that when I read the book at the beginning,I completely hate Chatterley’s behavior.However,with the development of the story,I feel soory for Chatterley,because I believe that Chatterley should stay with Mellors.It can be explained from two aspects.On the one hand, who is her huaband can only give her his spiritual world,and she didn’t love him,so it can’t be permanent.In addition, Clifford Chatterley is a rebel,he is only caught in the general,popular rebellion of the young against any sort of real authority.On the other hand,Lady Chatterley and

I like to have fun in the sea of books. Today, I accidentally saw a newly bought book Gulliver's Travels on the bookshelf. The author of this book is an outstanding British novelist, Gulliver's Travels is one of his masterpieces! When I opened Gulliver's Travels, I was immediately attracted by several headlines on the catalog; The story of Lilliputian Country, the travel notes of the Lord Country, the travel notes of the Bird Country, and the travel notes of the Houyhnhnms Country. 《Jane Eyre》 is a novel with a propensity for autobiography. Its writer, Charlotte Bronte，was born in a poor and calamitous family. They lived in a remote and backward place. It was when the revolution was in progress. The country was changing from agriculture to industry and the newly emerging bourgeoisie were expanding. These all left marks in the novel. The novel mainly describes the complicated love story between Jane Eyre and Rochester to portray a strong woman who was born humbly and lived difficultly but always persist to uphold her independent personality and pursue free individuality and advocate the equality of human life. Jane Eyre lived under another’s roof with her parents both dead. She bore different treatment form contemporaries’: Aunt’s disliking and avoiding her; cousins’ disdain, insult and beating. However, she was not desperate or didn’t destroy herself or sink into those insults. All of the misfortunes bring Jane infinite confidence, sturdy spirit and a kind of inside personality strength which can’t be defeated.
When facing Rochester, Jane never feel herself inferior because of she was a humble family teacher. She thought they were equal and she shouldn’t be disrespected because she was a servant. It was her being upright, noble, and pure that made Rochester get shocked and regard her as one can talk equally with himself in spirit. And he fell in love with her gradually. His true heart moved her and she accepted him. But when Jane
knew Rochester had a wife already, she decided she must leave. She felt her pride was hurt since she loved Rochester deeply. And she made a pretty rational decision. When there was a strong power of love and a allure of nice and wealthy life, she still insist on her individual pride. This is what reflected Jane’s spirit glamour most.

一、新课标研读的必要性
工欲善其事，必先利其器。新课标的认真研读对于一线英语教师来说是一门必修课，因为新课标是指导我们教学的“航标”，是组织教育教学活动的最主要的依据，是新时期对英语教学所提出的新要求的集中体现，所以我认为新课标的学习对于一线教师和教研员来说都是非常有必要的。老师在教学的过程中要做到“心中有课标”，只有这样才能在教学中做到有的放矢，才能把握住教学重难点，才能有效提升教学质量和个人专业素养。
二、新课标的内容特点更加突出
我们第一期学习的内容为新课程标准（送审稿）前5页，主要内容涉及到课程性质、课程理念与设计思路。对比《义务教育英语课程标准（2011年版）》，我觉得我们本次所研读部分的内容更加详细和具体，如：课程性质部分分为两段，第一段综合描述了英语作为一门语言，作为一种沟通工具的重要性以及它存在的意义。第二段描述了义务教育英语课程的性质、作用和意义。再如：新课标中将课程性质单列一章，将核心素养和课程目标融为一个章节，更好地体现了各学段课程核心素养的具体表现。
新课标中还出现了一些我理解不太深刻的名词，如大数据、主体多元、素养导向等，这些需要我在后期的学习中仔细体会。
总之，我认为新课标除了强调其工具性和人文性的统一之外，还体现了英语课程较强的政治性和时代感，突出了其“立德树人”的根本任务以及对学生学科核心素养的培养等特点。
三、新的学习形式促进整体成长
本期学习很有趣，我个人感觉我们就像是一个班级的学生，梁主任是我们的`班主任，而各校教研员和骨干教师们则有幸成为了这个班级的学生。班主任为我们制定了具体的学习计划，布置了详细的学习任务，还给予我们充分的自学时间。在疫情期间，我们停课不停学，过了一把学生瘾。对于爱学好学的学生来讲，有班主任管理和关心真的是一件无比幸福的事情。
我们3月23日的线上交流会就像是我们班的第一次读书交流会，大家都相约云端，班主任以问题引领和随机提问的方式带领着我们深度挖掘新课标内涵，我觉得效果非常好。我全程都在认真学习和记录中，班里同学的发言言简意赅，生动具体，我受益匪浅。同时也压力倍增，作为我们班里的大龄学生，如果不加倍努力，会被小同学落得更远喽。
总之，新课标赋予了英语教学新的内涵，对我们教师教学方法以及教育理念、教育思想的更新与转变提供了新的参考和要求。新课标的学习才刚刚开始，相信随着学习的深入，我的收获会越来越多，我也将结合自己的实际教学继续机进行仔细研读，与优秀的老师们一起继续共学共成长。

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery contains a fairy tale which concludes plentiful things.The first thing we can learn from the book is the innocence of childhood and love.Although disappointed by what his roses said,the little prince still loved them.In the weiter's opinion ,the roses stand for the pure love. As the prince growed up,he made a decision to explore other planets and leave his hometown,a planet which just one person lived in.When travelling in the other planets,he discovered that his rose is not the only one of its kind.There are abandunt kinds of roses in the garden,but he still held the opinoion that his rose is special "because it is she that I have watered; because it is she that I have put under the glass globe; because it is she that I have sheltered behind the screen" . When he came to the earth ,another significant character ,the fox , teached the little prince to take his own responsibility bravely . What's more ,the fox is also the little prince's best friend and help with his understanding of the meaning of friendship. Despite I've not in my childhood yet, I still prefer reading fairy-tale stories. The tales, which accompany with me in my old days, often make me think of some precious experience and sensation which only belong to children. This summer I've review this kind of tale, which was published in 1940. It's the world-famous fairy-tale by the French author, Antoine de St-Exupery, The Little Prince. As many other fairy-tales, the outline of The Little Prince is not very complex. “I”, the narrator of the story, is a pilot whose plane has something wrong and lands in the Sahara. In this occasion, the pilot makes the acquaintance of the little prince, a little boy from another planet, the Asteroid B612. The Little Prince has escaped from his tiny planet, because he has some quarrel with a rose, which grows on his planet. In that case he left his own planet and took an exploration at some neighbor asteroids. On his all-alone journey, the little prince meets different kinds of people, which includes a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer. From these people he gets a conclusion that the grown-ups are very odd. Following the instruction of the geographer, he descends in the Sahara, on the earth. Traveling on the earth, the little prince, who sees a garden of five-thousand roses, is overcome with astonishment and sadness, as he considers his rose is unique in the universe before. At that time a fox appears. The fox, who tell the little prince about the meaning of the word “tame”, becomes his new friend. At the time to say farewell, the fox makes him know that his rose is unique because she is his rose and tamed by him. From that the little prince begins to treasure friendship and be responsible to his rose. At the anniversary day of his descent of the earth, rejecting the pilot's advice, he goes back to his own planet by bite of a snake. “It's too far. I can not carry this body with me. It's too heavy.” he said. He tells his friend, the pilot, he must be responsible for his rose, so he has to go back. At the end the author doesn't tell us the ending directly. Maybe it's more significant for us to imagine, and for more, think over. One of the important characters is the rose. Growing on the planet, she is very beautiful, but her coquetry and vanity suffer the little prince a lot. In spite of they love each other, he soon becomes unhappy. On the time of his departure, he just knows she certainly loves him. The character of the little prince actually represents the children, and their native thoughts and deeds. On the contrary, the inhabitants on the other planets, such as the king, the businessman and the conceited man, they also reflect the defects in the grown-up's world. The real theme of this fairy-tale with a little sadness, I guess, is the consequence of pure love and friendship in our lives, but not others “matters of consequence” of the grown-ups.

Wuthering Heights was written by Emily Bronte, it published in 1847.But at that time, it seemed to hold little promise, selling very poorly and receiving only a few mixed reviews. I found this in our school library, I chose this book because the title attracted me. Wuthering Heights is structured around two parallel love stories, the first half of the novel centering on the love between Catherine and Heathcliff, while the less dramatic second half features the developing love between young Catherine and Hareton. In contrast to the first, the latter tale ends happily, restoring peace and order to Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange. In the story, the two houses, Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange, represent opposing worlds and values.
I spent twenty days reading this book. After reading this book, I felt for Heathcliff at first. Heathcliff begins his life as a homeless orphan on the streets of Liverpool, and then he tyrannized by Hindley Earnshaw. But he becomes a villain when he acquires power and returns to Wuthering Heights with money and the trappings of a gentleman. His malevolence proves so great and long—lasting. As he himself points out, his abuse of Isabella—his wife is purely sadistic, as he amuses himself by seeing how much abuse she can take and still come cringing back for more.
Catherine represents wild nature, in both her high, lively spirits and her occasional cruelty. She loves Heathcliff so intensely that she claims they are the same person. However, her actions are driven in part by her social ambitions, which initially are awakened during her first stay at the Lintons, and which eventually compel her to marry Edgar. Catherine is free—spirited, beautiful, spoiled, and often arrogant, she is given to fits of temper, and she is torn between her both of the men who love her. The location of her coffin symbolizes the conflict that tears apart her short life. She is buried in a corner of the Kirkyard. In contrast to Catherine, Isabella Linton—Catherine’s sister—in—law represents culture and civilization, both in her refinement and in her weakness. Ultimately, she ruins her life by falling in love with Heathcliff. He never returns her feelings and treats her as a meretool in his quest for revenge on the Linton family.
Just as Isabella Linton serves as Catherine’s foil, Edgar Linton serves as Heathcliff’s. Edgar grows into a tender, constant, but cowardly man. He is almost the ideal gentleman. However, this full assortment of gentlemanly characteristics, along with his civilized virtues, proves useless in Edgar’s clashes with his foil. He sees his wife obviously in love with another man but unable to do anything to rectify the situation. Heathcliff, who gains power over his wife, sister , and daughter.
The whole story make people’s mood heavy. Fortunately, the end is happy.
The author Emily Bronte lived an eccentric, closely guarded life. I like this book because it rest on the unforgettable characters. Wuthering Heights is based partly on the Gothic tradition, a style of literature that featured supernatural encounters, crumbling ruins, moonless nights, and grotesque imagery, seeking to create effects of mystery and fear. I would like to recommend this book to other readers.

1、学习和掌握英语的重要性
英语是当今世界经济、政治、科技、文化等活动中广泛使用的语言，它是国际交流与合作的重要沟通工具，是传播人类文明成果的主要载体之一，对中国走向世界，世界了解中国，构建人类命运共同体具有重要作用。
在日常的英语学习中，我们作为一线英语教师，要让学生学习和运用英语语言，了解和传播中外优秀文化。通过英语课程的学习，让学生感知、体验、理解和运用英语，发展语言能力。
2、“育人”是英语课程的本质
英语课程承载着基于时代要求的育人使命，要培养具有中国情怀、国际视野的跨文化沟通能力的人。在培养学生综合语言能力的过程中，渗透着情感、态度、价值观的教育，使学生掌握应对全球化时代挑战、进行跨文化交流与合作、满足国家发展和个人发展所需要的语言能力、文化意识、思维品质和学习能力。
